They will order tests and any other things that are needed to help reassure safety to the patient while making them feel comfortable. Any of the tests ordered on a patient could include things like blood tests, imaging tests like x-rays, or a surgical procedure.

If one needs anything for pain or sleeplessness, they can ask the nurse for it. When all of the results come back, the doctor can make a more educated guess on what is happening, and they can more effectively treat the patient.

Patients should be reassured with their visit to a hospital because it is the goal to make them feel comfortable in this strange environment from home. The goal is to find out their problem and to treat it effectively and as quickly as possible.
